In my career I have been the V.P. of Sales for a wholesale distribution company and a Partner of a Retail Operation. On the surface it would seem that I was a success. Let me give you a quick insight…I HATED IT!
Even though everything seemed to be going well and growth in both companies was exponential, there always seemed to be something missing. That something was my LIFE! What had happened? I had set out on this mission to live the life of my dreams, a life of good money, friends and family, vacations and good times. However, there I was, working 70-80 hours a week every week. And come the Holidays, forget about it! I would actually go to Thanksgiving dinner and have to leave that night so I could head to one of the 11 retail stores and open by 5:30 a.m.
My business career seemed to be on vertical rise. However, EVERY other aspect of my life was suffering! So, I do what every brash 25 year old does…I leave to forge a career and future of my own. By the time I was 25 I had developed a small Real Estate Investment company. I was buying and selling Real Estate in the heart of the Boom. This was the life!! Or, so I thought. It didn’t take long for me to realize I had fallen into the same pattern. Working 24/7 just to make sure I would keep up with the deals I was buying. Again, on the surface it was great but in reality it was a nightmare! Contractors, painters, banks, attorneys, accountants. Every time I turned around my phone was ringing with problems that WEREN’T MAKING ME MONEY! What happened to my DREAM!?!
Then I was introduced to the Direct Sales Industry. Finally, a business model that allows both Financial Freedom and Time Freedom. Do you know that according to Forbes in order to own a “Big Business” you need to have 500 employees? Do you know how easy it is to build an organization of 500 people in the direct sales industry? Think about that for a minute…you will have the leveraging power of some of the largest companies on the planet!! Even more exciting than that, you have no rent, employees, overhead, insurance or liabilities! If you go on vacation for a week, the Proven Marketing Platform still churns out business for you 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year!
